Liver Transplant

Liver transplant surgery requires a few days assessment for the patient. Donor Investigation as an outpatient and not included in the package.

From the date of surgery, 3 weeks for the patient and one week for the donor. The regular transplant medication, professional fees, operation charges, hospitalization is covered under the package. If any complications for the extra stay for the patient or the donor, will be charged extra as per accruals.

The patient will have to stay in transplant hospital located city for 2-3 months. The patient has to stay in the private accommodation. We can arrange for clean and comfortable accommodation on chargeable basis. We might request for a security deposit for to cover up for any additional expenses or complications that may occur. This is a refundable deposit which will be refunded unless in case of complications.

Kidney Transplant

Kidney transplant also requires investigations that need to be done for the patient and the donor as the outpatient.

The package includes many days of hospitalization for the patient and one week for the donor. The patient will be admitted 1 day prior to surgery. The regular transplant medication, professional fees, operation charges, hospitalization is covered under the package. If any complications for the extra stay for the patient or the donor, will be charged extra as per actuals.

The patient will have to stay in the city where the transplant is done for 1-2 months. The patient has to stay in the private accommodation. We can arrange for value for money accommodation on chargeable basis.

Current legal Status of Organ Transplant Law in India is as follows;

"As per the rules of our country, only a relative who is compatible can donate a kidney to the patient. Among the relatives, there is a category called the near relatives which as parents, siblings, children and spouse. People in this category can donate the kidney if they are medically compatible without the permission of the Government of India. Any other relative not belonging to this category in addition to being medically suitable, the permission from the respective Government needs to be taken if it is case of foreign nationals
